By downloading or using Pictansu (“the App”), provided by Sloth Lab Inc. (“we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms.
Using the App
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control. You may not use the App for unlawful purposes, or reverse-engineer, disrupt or abuse it, except where the law allows.
Your content
Your photos and videos belong to you. They are encrypted on your device and we have no access to them. You are responsible for the content you store and for having the right to store it.
Your PIN and recovery code
You are responsible for keeping your PIN and your recovery code safe. The App has no account and no back door: we cannot recover your vault data without your PIN or your recovery code. If you lose both, your encrypted data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
Backups
Backups are stored in your own Google Drive or iCloud Drive and are also subject to that provider's terms. Export, backup and restore are always free, including on the free tier. We recommend keeping backups turned on and checking that they are up to date.
Purchases
Pictansu offers a one-time lifetime purchase through the App Store or Google Play. A lifetime purchase is never revoked by us. It is tied to your Apple ID or Google account and can be restored on a new device. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep your data safe, but we do not guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. Keep backups of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data resulting from a lost PIN and recovery code. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
